Using Aloo

Dashboard

The Dashboard is your home screen. It gives you a live picture of everything happening in your restaurant right now, so you can act on anything that needs attention without digging through tabs. All activities are updated live, no need to refresh.

#Recent Activity

A live feed mixing three kinds of events, newest first:

  • Active calls in progress, with the customer name, a live duration timer, and what the AI detected they wanted.
  • Staff Assist requests waiting to be picked up. Click one to jump into the live call.
  • Calls that just ended, with what the customer wanted, whether a callback is needed, and whether a manager joined.

This is usually the fastest way to see if anything needs your attention.

#Orders

Two counters and a short list of recent orders.

  • Open Orders counts orders that aren't completed yet. Pending, confirmed, preparing, or ready.
  • Late Orders counts orders that have gone more than thirty minutes past their expected ready time.

Each row in the list shows the order number, customer name, total in KWD, status, and when the order came in. Click a row to open the full order.

#Reservations

Scoped to today only. Three counters and a list of today's reservations.

  • Next Seating shows the time of your next confirmed reservation.
  • Late Arrivals counts confirmed reservations whose time has passed but who haven't been seated.
  • Upcoming (2h) counts reservations arriving in the next two hours.

Each listed reservation shows the customer, party size, time, status (confirmed or seated), the assigned table, and any special requests.

#Busy Mode

The Busy Mode toggle tells Aloo to stop taking new orders. When busy mode is on, the agent will politely say the restaurant is busy and can't take a new order right now. You can customise the exact wording on the Agent settings page.

Use with care

Busy mode affects every incoming call. It is meant for short bursts (a rush, a staffing gap, a kitchen incident). Turn it off as soon as you can take orders again.
