Reservations

The Reservations page (sometimes labeled Tables) is where you see bookings, manage who is seated, and review what is coming up. Anything a caller can ask Aloo on the phone, you can also do here from a staff seat.

#Reservation status

A reservation moves through these steps, from booking to the end of the meal:

ConfirmedSeatedCompleted

Two other endings can apply instead:

  • Cancelled. The reservation was cancelled before seating, by the guest, by staff, or by Aloo on behalf of the guest.
  • No-show. The guest didn't arrive within the late-arrival grace period set in Reservation settings. The reservation closes and the table is released.

#The list

The list defaults to today, with one row per reservation.

  • Time of the reservation.
  • Customer name and phone.
  • Party size.
  • Status: confirmed, seated, or cancelled.
  • Any special requests.

#Filters and sorting

Search by customer name, phone, or time. Filter by date range, time range, and status. Click a column to sort. The list shows twenty items per page.

#Creating a reservation manually

New Reservation opens a form for a booking that didn't come through Aloo. A walk-in request at the host stand, or a call on a direct line. Enter the customer, party size, time, and any special requests. The reservation goes into the same list.

#Reservation details

Click a reservation to open the full record. Guest details, party size, special requests, and status controls. From the popup you can confirm, seat, or cancel the booking, and add staff notes that aren't shown to the guest.
