Using Aloo

Menu

The Menu page is the source of truth for what Aloo describes on the phone and what appears in orders. Everything is bilingual, English and Arabic, so the agent can talk about the same item in either language. Use this page as a map. Each area below has its own guide.

#The items table

The main view is a table of every item. Columns for name, description, price, category, availability, and a modifier indicator. Each row has inline actions to edit, delete, or flip availability. The + button at the top opens the product editor to add a new item.

  • Search by item name (English or Arabic) or description.
  • Filter by one or more categories.
  • Filter by availability: available, unavailable, or all.
Aloo reads the menu directly. If an item is marked unavailable, the agent will not offer it. If a description is empty, the agent only has the name to work with. Keeping descriptions, prices, and categories accurate is the most reliable way to improve call quality.

#Deals & promotions

Everything that changes a price at checkout (combos, threshold rewards, item discounts, customer codes, and the rules that decide how they combine) is managed from the deals popup reached from this page. Each deal type has its own guide:

Combos

Bundle deals with slots and a fixed price.

Threshold discounts

Spend-and-save rules that trigger when the subtotal hits a limit.

Item-level discounts

Flat-amount or percentage discounts on a specific item.

Customer-specific discounts

Phone-tied codes with usage limits and minimum subtotals.

Deal stacking & rules

Global controls for combining, prioritising, and turning off promotions.
