Customizing the dashboard
Customize mode turns Analytics from a read-only report into an editable layout. Turn it on, move widgets, replace them with your own, then turn it back off. Every user gets their own personal layout.
#Turning customize mode on
Click Customize layout in the page actions menu. Widgets gain drag handles and a small action menu for resize, edit, and delete.
Changes save as you go. Your layout persists when you turn customize mode off.
#What you can change
- Move a widget by dragging it to a new position.
- Resize a chart to be smaller or bigger.
- Edit a widget: opens the builder pre-filled with the current settings.
- Delete a widget: removes it from your dashboard.
#Adding a new widget
Add widget in the actions menu opens the widget builder. See the Widget builder page for every field.
#Turning customize mode off
Toggle customize mode off to lock in your changes. Other users' layouts aren't affected. Each user's dashboard is personal.
#Reset to default
If you want to start over, the customize menu has a Reset to default button. It shows a confirmation because the action is not easily undone:
- All your current widgets go away. Defaults you kept, defaults you edited, and custom widgets you added.
- The factory set of default widgets comes back.
- You lose any filter tweaks, position changes, and custom widgets you had.
Reset only affects your own dashboard. Other users on the same business are not affected.
