Categories
Categories are the top-level groups that organise your menu. Appetisers, Mains, Drinks, Desserts, and so on. Every item lives in exactly one category. The order you set here is the order Aloo uses when describing the menu on the phone.
#What the categories popup does
- Create a new category with a bilingual name (English and Arabic).
- Edit an existing category. Rename, re-translate.
- Delete a category. Items in a deleted category need to be reassigned.
- Reorder categories by drag-and-drop.
#Why the order matters
When a caller asks “what do you have?”, Aloo reads the categories in the order shown here. Put the categories you want customers to hear first at the top. Usually Mains or another best-seller-heavy category, not Drinks.
