The rules Aloo follows when taking reservations on the phone. The Reservations page runs inside these rules.
#Booking rules
Slot duration
How many minutes a single reservation slot lasts. Controls how Aloo spaces bookings on a table.
Max party size
Biggest party Aloo will book without asking a human. Larger parties trigger Staff Assist.
Min party size
Smallest party Aloo books. Anything below is treated as a walk-in.
Booking advance window
How many days ahead a caller can book. Further out is declined.
Late-arrival grace
Minutes past the reservation time before Aloo marks it a no-show. Also drives the Late Arrivals counter on the dashboard.
#Table inventory
Tell Aloo how many of each table size you have. For example: three 2-seaters, five 4-seaters, one 8-seater.
- Add a table size. For example a 2-seater, 4-seater, or 6-seater.
- Set how many of each size.
- Edit or remove sizes as your floor changes.
This inventory is what Aloo checks when deciding whether a requested party size and time can be booked.
