Creating orders manually
Most orders arrive through Aloo automatically. Staff can also enter an order by hand from the Orders page so it flows through the same status steps as every other order.
#Starting a new order
Click New Order at the top of the Orders page. A form opens where you build the order:
- Choose order type: delivery or takeaway.
- Pick items from the menu. For each one, choose any required modifiers and add-ons.
- Enter the customer's name and phone.
- For delivery, enter the full delivery address.
- Review the total (item subtotal, any delivery fee, any active promotions).
- Save.
#After you save
The order appears in the same list as Aloo-taken orders, starting at Pending. From there it moves through confirmed, preparing, and completed as the kitchen progresses it. See Order details for how to update the status.
