Widget builder
The widget builder is the popup that opens when you add a new widget or edit an existing one. Pick a data source, decide what you want to measure, choose how to slice it, and pick a chart type.
#The fields, step by step
- Title. The widget name shown on the dashboard. Pick something short and clear.
- Category. The data source. One of Orders, Reservations, or Calls.
- Metric. What to measure. The available options depend on the category.
- How to combine. Count the rows, sum them, average them, or find the smallest or largest value.
- Slice by. Nothing (a single number), over time (a trend), or by category (a breakdown).
- Chart type. Line, bar, or pie. Choices depend on how you're slicing.
- Decimals. 0 to 6. Controls number formatting on the rendered widget.
- Limit. Top N rows shown (default 10). Used when slicing by category.
#How to combine

For text fields (like status or order type), the only combine option is Count.

After saving, the widget appears at the end of the charts grid. You can drag it into position in customize mode.
